Being used?

Something someone close told me recently, kind of stuck in my mind. And I thought of sharing it here, and documenting it.

"Everyone uses me and come to me only if they have some 'thing' to be done. Else, they really don't care for me, nor do they have time for me." 

While, what this person was saying was perfectly correct and factual. I tend to look at the situation slightly differently. 

"I'm being helpful to all, and whenever someone needs some help, they can safely rely on me. Even in this busy world, they approach me, when they don't find help elsewhere." 

Doesn't changing the perspective makes a marked difference!
